Adenomyosis month round up
As we approach the end of ‘Adenomyosis Awareness Month.’ I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped raise awareness about adenomyosis, whether it was a post on social media or a conversation with a friend or stranger. We thank you!! For us with lived experience, everyday adenomyosis affects our lives and not just for the month of April.
We kicked off April with our support group The Adeno Space. The Adeno space is a virtual support group for women with adenomyosis and gynaecological conditions to come and feel supported, heard and seen. There is no obligation to switch on your camera or to talk. The space is yours to use as you wish. However you are welcomed to talk, shout and scream if this is something that you need. It is a safe space for us all. Sessions are never recorded and what is said in the space, stays in the space. The space is open once a month; and announcements about future sessions are always made via our Instagram.
The next Adeno Space will be in May. Please book your free ticket on Eventbrite.
Have you had a chance to see The Adeno Expo yet? The Adeno Expo is the first part of our live webinar series “Let’s Talk Adenomyosis.” Part 1 was about bridging the gap between the community and the professionals. We would like to thank our fantastic panel consultant gynaecologist, Joel Naftalin. Dietitian, Sophie Medlin and general practitioner Dr, Frances Yarlett who answered the community's questions on adenomyosis and fertility, adenomyosis and diet, treatments for adenomyosis and more.
A massive Thank you to all who attended live. If you missed it not to worry, head over to our YouTube page (or click the link below) where you can catch the replay.
The Adeno Expo- Let's talk Adenomyosis
This month we had our first in person event ‘Candles & Cocktails’ in collaboration with Present your Joy and K’s Cocktails.
What an experience! We all came together on a Sunday afternoon to raise more awareness about adenomyosis, learn the art of candle making, while sipping on some delicious cocktails and mocktails . (The ginger and rhubarb cocktail was my fave. Btw)
We are still very keen to tell your adenomyosis stories on our website and social media. If you are interested in doing so please email us your story at media@theadenogang.com
